About Memori

What is Memori?

Memori is an artist-founded jewelry studio in the Washington, D.C. area, founded by artist and designer Skye Zheng, creating sculptural jewelry around what cannot be repeated. The Infinity Collection is made in solid 925 sterling silver from fingerprints, palm prints, footprints, and pet nose or paw prints. The Baroque Collection is built around one-of-a-kind baroque pearls. Every piece is designed individually, never from a stock template.

Where are Memori pieces made?

Every piece is designed by hand, lost-wax cast in solid 925 sterling silver, and hand-finished in our U.S. studio. Birthstones are set by hand. Each piece arrives with a laser-engraved Certificate of Authenticity card, and impression pieces come with your original clay impressions, made into an Impression Collection Card you can frame and keep.

Impressions

How do I take my impressions?

After you order, we send an at-home silicone clay impression kit within 3 business days. Blend the clay, press the print into it, let it set, and send it back to our studio. U.S. kits include a prepaid return label. There is nothing to heat, so there is no risk of burns, and no special skill is needed.

What kinds of impressions can I use?

Human impressions can be a fingerprint, or a small section of a palm print or footprint. Pet impressions can be a nose print, a paw print, or the pattern of their fur. We only need a small section of a print to capture its pattern.

Can I use my dog’s or cat’s nose print?

Yes. The Infinity Double Twist Ring, Infinity Pendant, and Infinity Necklace can pair one human impression with one pet impression. A nose print, paw print, or fur pattern all work, and we only need a small section of the print. See Pet Nose Print Jewelry.

Can I use my baby’s fingerprint?

We don’t recommend fingerprints from babies under 12 months old, because their prints are often too fine to show clearly in silver. For little ones, a footprint or palm print usually gives clearer lines. Every child is different, so we review each impression case by case.

What if my impression doesn’t come out clearly?

Your kit includes two extra clay samples, so you can simply try again. We review every impression for clarity before we begin, and if one isn’t clear enough, we’ll ask for a retake at no charge.

How many prints can one piece hold?

The Infinity Double Twist Ring holds two impressions. The Infinity Pendant and Infinity Necklace hold up to two, or a single impression. The Infinity Multi-Fingerprint Ring is designed for several human impressions, so a whole family can share one band.

Ordering & Timing

How long does a custom piece take?

Your impression kit ships within 3 business days of your order. Production takes about 10 business days from the day your impressions arrive and are approved. The Infinity Double Twist Ring with birthstones only (no impressions) is made in about 5 business days. Baroque Collection pieces are finished when they are listed and ship within 2–3 business days. Shipping time is additional.

What ring sizes do you offer?

Infinity rings come in US sizes 4 to 15, including half sizes. Sizes up to US 7.5 are included in the base price; larger sizes add $15 (US 8–9.5), $30 (US 10–11.5), $45 (US 12–13.5), or $55 (US 14–15) for the additional silver.

What if I don’t know my ring size?

On our impression rings, choose “Not Sure? Send Me a Ring Sizer” and we’ll include a sizer with your impression kit. Please measure carefully: each ring is designed around your impressions, so resizing it afterward is very difficult.

Can I add birthstones?

Yes. Infinity pieces can take up to two birthstones, in 2 mm, 1.5 mm, or one of each. Each stone is set by hand, and prices vary by stone. For pieces with two stones, we confirm placement with you before we begin.

Do pendants come with a chain?

The Infinity Necklace includes a 1 mm sterling silver cable chain with a lobster clasp that adjusts to 16, 18, or 20 inches. The Infinity Pendant is sold on its own; you can add the same chain for $28 or wear it on a chain of your own.

Baroque Pearls

What is a baroque pearl?

A baroque pearl is a pearl with an irregular, non-spherical shape. Instead of forming as a smooth round sphere, it grows into contours of its own, so no two are alike.

Why does every Memori baroque piece look different?

Because we start with the pearl. Each one is individually selected for its natural shape, surface, and luster, and its sterling silver setting is shaped around its contours. No two pieces turn out the same, and each finished piece exists only once.

Can I choose the exact pearl I receive?

Yes. Every piece in the Baroque Collection is listed on its own, with its own number and photos, so the piece you choose is the piece you receive. New pieces are released each month, and when one is sold, its page stays in our Baroque Collection archive.

Will my piece look exactly like the product photos?

The photos show the actual finished piece. Pearls shift slightly in color and luster with the light, so yours may look a little different in person. That change is part of a pearl’s natural character.

Are baroque pearls considered imperfect?

No. Their irregular shape is natural, not a flaw. Variations in shape, color, surface, and luster are part of each pearl’s character, and they are the reason we choose them. Explore The Baroque Collection.

How do I care for baroque pearl jewelry?

Put pearls on last, after perfume and lotion, and take them off first. Wipe the pearl with a soft, slightly damp cloth after wearing, and never soak it or use ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Keep silver polish away from the pearl, and store the piece on its own in its box or a soft pouch. See our Jewelry Care guide.

Materials & Care

What are Memori pieces made of?

All Memori pieces are solid 925 sterling silver, not plated. Our Baroque Collection necklaces pair a sterling silver setting with a single baroque pearl. Sterling silver naturally darkens over time; regular wear and gentle polishing keep it bright.

How do I clean my piece?

For everyday dullness, rub gently with a silver polishing cloth. For a deeper clean, soak briefly in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, rinse, and dry completely. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners, toothpaste, chlorine, and harsh chemicals. See our Jewelry Care guide for details.

Will the fingerprint wear away over time?

With a little care, the lines of your print stay clear for years. Polish lightly over the impression rather than scrubbing it, avoid letting it rub against other rings, and take rings off for the gym, gardening, or heavy lifting.

Shipping, Returns & Warranty

How much does shipping cost?

U.S. standard shipping is free on orders over $100. In the U.S., the impression kit’s return label is prepaid, so sending your impressions back costs you nothing. International shipping is $30 standard or $60 express, with free standard shipping on orders of $300 or more; international customers cover the postage to send their impressions back to us.

Can I return a custom piece?

Pieces made from your impressions or with your chosen birthstones are final sale. You can cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of ordering, as long as your kit hasn’t shipped. Baroque Collection pieces can be returned for store credit within 14 days, and the plain Double Twist Ring (no birthstones) can be returned or exchanged within 14 days.

Is there a warranty?

Every Memori piece is covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery. If a defect appears, we repair it free of charge. Read our full Shipping & Returns policy.
